About Hazeldean

Hazeldean is a sparsely settled rural locality in the Somerset Region of south-east Queensland, about 105 kilometres north-west of Brisbane. Lake Somerset occupies the eastern part of the locality, created by the Somerset Dam on the Stanley River, while the western part is elevated bushland on the D'Aguilar Range. The Stanley River Environmental Education Centre operates in former school buildings nearby.
