About Valkyrie
Valkyrie is a remote rural locality in the Isaac Region of central Queensland, about 150 kilometres south-west of Mackay and 35 kilometres south of Nebo. The Isaac River passes through the area, and cattle grazing is the predominant land use. Valkyrie State School, opened in 1974, serves as the hub of the community and hosts local meetings and social gatherings.
