About Eungella Dam
Eungella Dam is a locality in the Mackay Region of Queensland, surrounding the dam of the same name on the Broken River, west of Mackay. The earth and rockfill dam was completed in 1969 to supply water to the Collinsville power station and the towns and coalfields of Collinsville, Moranbah and Glendon. The reservoir is a popular camping and fishing destination, stocked with sooty grunter and barramundi.
