About Andromache
Andromache is a locality in the Whitsunday Region of Queensland. It is named after the Andromache River, recorded on an 1864 survey map by T.H. Fitzgerald, after the wife of the Greek hero Hector. The locality includes the Andromache Conservation Park and state forests, with cattle grazing on native vegetation. The North Coast railway line crosses its eastern boundary.
