About Thoopara
Thoopara is a rural locality in the Whitsunday Region of Queensland, situated south-south-west of Proserpine. The Andromache River forms the southern boundary, and the Bruce Highway crosses the O'Connell River at the locality's eastern edge. A steel-and-concrete railway bridge over the Andromache River was erected in 1923 as part of the North Coast railway line.
