About Windaroo

Windaroo is a residential suburb in the City of Logan, Queensland, located 18 kilometres south-east of Logan Central and 40 kilometres south-east of Brisbane CBD. Established in 1981 and named after the Windaroo sugar plantation on the Albert River, the suburb is bounded by Windaroo Creek to the north and the Albert River to the east. Windaroo Lakes Golf Club, opened in 1981, hosted the 1993 Queensland Open. The suburb features the Windaroo Australian Peacekeepers Memorial at Memorial Peace Park.
