About Slacks Creek
Slacks Creek is one of the oldest settled areas in Logan, 25 kilometres south-east of the Brisbane CBD. The creek was named after the Slack family who grazed cattle there from 1845, and the Aboriginal name Mungaree means 'place of fishes'. St Mark's Anglican Church (1901) is heritage-listed.
