About Lyons (Qld)
Lyons is a rural locality in the City of Logan in south-east Queensland, named after settler William Lyons who lived in the Greenbank area in the 1880s. The locality was gazetted in 1997 and transferred from the Shire of Beaudesert to Logan City in 2008. Much of Lyons remains wooded and undeveloped due to minimal historical tree clearing.
