About Hillcrest (Qld)
Hillcrest is a western suburb of Logan City, about 26 km south of the Brisbane CBD, originally part of Browns Plains and gazetted as its own suburb in 1987. As its name suggests, part of it sits on the crest of a hill crowned by the illuminated Wineglass Water Tower, a local landmark. The suburb is a family-oriented residential area built around the Logan West Community Centre and aquatic centre, with the Parkinson Bushland along its northern edge.
