About Beaudesert
Beaudesert (Yugambeh: Yilbagan) is a rural town and locality in the Scenic Rim Region of Queensland, and the region's administrative centre. It lies between the Logan and Albert rivers on the Mount Lindesay Highway, about 53 km south of Brisbane. The town grew from a pastoral run held from 1842, and the railway line that opened from Bethania in 1888 long served the district's meat packing and timber industries before closing in 1996.
