About White Rock (Ipswich - Qld)
White Rock is a locality in the City of Ipswich, Queensland, about 30 kilometres south-west of Brisbane and adjacent to the Greater Springfield area. It is named after White Rock, a sacred site of the traditional owners known as a Women's area, which is registered and protected as Aboriginal cultural heritage. Much of the locality lies within the White Rock-Spring Mountain Conservation Estate, more than 2,500 hectares of eucalypt forest and rocky outcrops, while its eastern part is being developed as a residential suburb.
