About Teviotville

Teviotville is a rural locality in the Scenic Rim of south-east Queensland, located about 7 kilometres north of Boonah. The name derives from Teviot Brook, named by explorer Allan Cunningham in 1828 after the River Teviot in Scotland, and the locality was once served by the Fassifern railway line, Queensland's first branch railway, which operated from 1882 until 1964.
