About Rifle Range

Rifle Range is a rural locality in the Somerset Region of south-east Queensland, about 76 kilometres west of Brisbane. The area takes its name from a rifle range established near Lowood in 1886, and today features irrigated cropping along Lockyer Creek flats and grazing on surrounding native vegetation, with Lake Wivenhoe nearby.
