About Laidley Heights
Laidley Heights is a rural residential locality on the outskirts of the town of Laidley in the Lockyer Valley Region of Queensland. The surrounding district was named Laidley Plains by explorer Allan Cunningham in 1829, after James Laidley, Deputy Commissary General of New South Wales. The locality sits within the Lockyer Valley, a major vegetable-growing area west of Brisbane.
