About Coochin
Coochin is a rural locality in the Scenic Rim Region, about 13 kilometres south-south-west of Boonah and 100 kilometres south-south-west of Brisbane. It is the site of the heritage-listed Coochin Coochin Homestead, established in the 1840s as one of the earliest pastoral runs in the Moreton region, and the name comes from the Kabi language meaning red stones.
