About Biarra
Biarra is a rural locality in the Somerset Region, located about 11 kilometres southwest of Toogoolawah. The name comes from the Waka language meaning plentiful supply of fish, and the area is home to Cressbrook Dam, which supplies drinking water to the Toowoomba Region.
