About Atkinsons Dam

Atkinsons Dam is a rural locality in the Somerset Region of south-east Queensland, about 19 kilometres north-west of Lowood. The locality takes its name from Lake Atkinson, an irrigation reservoir created by an earth-fill dam completed in 1970, which is a popular destination for boating, fishing and camping.
