About Boyland
Boyland is a rural locality in the Scenic Rim Region of Queensland, about 66 kilometres south of Brisbane. The Albert River defines its western boundary while the slopes of Tamborine Mountain rise sharply to the east, reaching elevations above 500 metres. Named after Boyland railway station on the former Canungra branch line that operated from 1915 to 1955, the locality takes its name from George Boyland, chairman of the Tamborine Shire Council and a supporter of the railway's construction. Rotary Lookout on the eastern edge offers views across the valley toward Tamborine Mountain.
