About Tyrconnel
Tyrconnel is a locality in south-western Queensland that takes its name from the Tyrconnell Downs pastoral station, named after the Earl of Tyrconnell in Ireland. The northern part of the locality lies within the Chesterton Range National Park, while the southern part consists of undulating grazing country.
