About Toobeah

Toobeah is a rural town and locality in the Goondiwindi Region of Queensland, on the border with New South Wales in the Darling Downs. Pronounced 'two beer', the town lies on the Barwon Highway about 389 km south-west of Brisbane. It takes its name from the railway station on the South Western line opened in 1910, after an Aboriginal word thought to mean 'to point'.
