About Silverleigh
Silverleigh is a quiet rural locality on the southern Darling Downs plains, approximately twenty-five kilometres north-west of Toowoomba. The area is characterised by open farmland and cropping paddocks typical of the fertile Darling Downs, with dryland cropping and cattle grazing on some of Australia's most productive soils. St Paul's Lutheran Church, established by a congregation formed in 1899, is one of the locality's oldest surviving heritage buildings, while the nearby town of Oakey provides the closest range of shops and services.
