About Goombungee

Goombungee is a rural town and locality in the Toowoomba Region of Queensland, Australia, located 35 kilometres north-west of Toowoomba on the Darling Downs. Established in 1854 as a pastoral run, its name derives from an Aboriginal word. The town hosts the annual Jacaranda Day festival and features a state school (1881), golf club, and museum.
