About Punchs Creek

Punchs Creek is a rural locality in the Toowoomba Region of Queensland, located about 99 kilometres southwest of Toowoomba and 29 kilometres southeast of Millmerran. The landscape features Punch Creek entering from the south and exiting to the north, with predominantly crop growing alongside some grazing on native vegetation. Named after the creek, which was in turn named after a horse in William John Castle's horse team, the locality has the characteristically Australian naming origin of a bullock team horse. A provisional school operated from 1897 to 1901 before closing due to low student numbers.
