About Mount Binga

Mount Binga is a small rural locality on the Blackbutt Range in the Toowoomba Region of Queensland, situated approximately 100 kilometres north of Toowoomba and 150 kilometres northwest of Brisbane. The hilly terrain supports cattle grazing and has strong historical ties to the timber and silviculture industry, with hoop pine plantations a feature of the broader Blackbutt Range area. The locality is home to the Mount Binga Outdoor Education Centre, which runs residential programs for secondary school students, and the nearby Mount Binga National Park protects endangered regional ecosystems including vine forests and eucalyptus communities.
