About Emu Creek (Qld)
Emu Creek is a rural locality in the Toowoomba Region on the Darling Downs, roughly 68 kilometres north of Toowoomba. The New England Highway passes through it and the land is predominantly used for grazing on native vegetation, with several named peaks including Mount Ham and Mount Japheth. Author Steele Rudd spent his childhood at Emu Creek near East Greenmount.
