About Merritts Creek
Merritts Creek is a rural locality on the Darling Downs in the Toowoomba Region, roughly 30 kilometres north-east of Toowoomba CBD. Named after the creek flowing through it, the area was served by the former Taylor railway station on the Crows Nest railway line, opened 1886 and closed 1961, with rolling farmland characterising the surrounding landscape.
