About Jackson South

Jackson South is a rural locality in the Maranoa Region of Queensland, named after pioneer settler John Woodward Wyndham Jackson. Most of the locality lies within Yuleba State Forest, with the eastern part used for grazing and cropping. The Warrego Highway and Western railway line cross the locality; the railway was served by the now-abandoned Channing station.
