About Inglestone
Inglestone is a remote rural locality in the Western Downs Region of south-west Queensland, situated about 60 kilometres south of Surat. The landscape features flat to undulating plains with brigalow scrub and native pasture, typical of the semi-arid Darling Downs fringe. The locality takes its name from the early Ingleston pastoral run established in the mid-1800s, and cattle and sheep grazing remain the mainstay of the area.
