About East Greenmount
East Greenmount is a rural town on the Darling Downs, immediately east of Greenmount and about 29 kilometres south of Toowoomba. The town centre sits at the junction of the New England Highway and Greenmount-Clifton Road, and Mount Sibley, an isolated 676-metre peak, rises in the south-east. The area supports grain cropping, beef cattle and mixed farming on fertile agricultural land.
