About Chinchilla
Chinchilla is a rural town and locality in the Western Downs Region of Queensland, about 300 kilometres west of Brisbane. Known as the Melon Capital of Australia, it hosts a Melon Festival every second year in February, and serves as a hub for the district's agricultural industries and the coal seam gas sector.
