About Chances Plain
Chances Plain is a rural locality in the Western Downs Region of Queensland, situated about 7 kilometres east of Chinchilla on the Brigalow Belt. The area features flat to gently undulating plains with deep cracking clay soils derived from basalt, supporting a mixed economy of beef cattle farming, grain growing and cotton. Native brigalow scrub remnants persist alongside improved pastures, and the Warrego Highway provides access to the broader Western Downs agricultural region.
