About The Caves

The Caves is a rural town in Livingstone Shire, about 26 kilometres north of Rockhampton along the Bruce Highway. The locality takes its name from the limestone cave systems in the area, including the Capricorn Caves and Mount Etna Caves National Park, which shelters colonies of ghost bats. Alligator Creek forms the western boundary, and the town retains a quiet rural character.
