About Thangool

Thangool is a rural town in the Shire of Banana, located about 13 kilometres south-east of Biloela in Central Queensland. Established in 1925 alongside the Callide Valley railway, the locality spans broad agricultural country used for cattle grazing, cotton, and dryland cropping of sorghum and wheat. The nearby Mount Scoria, with its distinctive basalt columns, is listed on the Register of the National Estate.
