About River Ranch
River Ranch is a rural locality in the Gladstone Region, situated approximately 7.5 kilometres northwest of Calliope and 27.5 km southwest of Gladstone CBD. The area extends west to the Calliope River, near the Calliope River Historical Village. Formally named in 1999, it is one of the more recent localities around Calliope, characterised by rural acreage properties and hobby farms on gently undulating grazing land.
