Rockingham is a rural town and coastal locality in the Cassowary Coast Region, bounded by the Tully River to the north, Rockingham Bay to the east and the Murray River to the south. The town sits on the southern bank of the Tully River, about 14 kilometres south-east of Tully, with coastline protected within Gulngay National Park.
