About Mount Peter
Mount Peter is a growing locality in the Cairns Region, about 19 kilometres south of the Cairns CBD between Edmonton and Gordonvale. The area is predominantly flat sugarcane farmland in the foothills of the Great Dividing Range and has been designated as a priority urban growth corridor. It is home to the Guru Nanak Gurudwara, the first Sikh temple in Queensland, opened in 1983.
