About McCutcheon

McCutcheon is a rural locality in the Cairns region of Queensland, located about 26 kilometres south of Innisfail and 113 kilometres south of Cairns in the Cassowary Coast Region. Low-lying tropical terrain with Liverpool Creek forming the northern boundary and the Bruce Highway crossing at the northwestern corner characterises the landscape. The main land use is sugarcane growing with some grazing on native vegetation. Cane tramways transport harvested sugarcane to the local sugar mill in this deeply embedded sugarcane farming district.
