About East Russell

East Russell is a coastal rural locality in the Cairns Region of Far North Queensland, east of Babinda. The Russell River forms its western boundary, meeting the Mulgrave River at Mutchero Inlet before flowing into the Coral Sea. Much of the locality, including almost all of the coastline, is protected within the Russell River National Park, and the land is used for sugar cane farming.
