About Wutunugurra

Wutunugurra is a remote Aboriginal community on Alyawarr country in the Barkly Region of the Northern Territory, about 210 km south-east of Tennant Creek on the north-eastern edge of the Davenport Ranges. It takes its name from a waterhole near the Epenarra homestead, and its land was excised from the Epenarra pastoral lease as a Community Living Area in the early 1980s. The community is closely associated with the Rain Dreaming.
