About Pirlangimpi
Pirlangimpi, formerly known as Garden Point, is a town on Melville Island in the Tiwi Islands, approximately 100 kilometres north of Darwin. A police post was established at Garden Point in 1937, and the Garden Point Mission operated on the site for several decades. The community is part of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Tiwi Islands.
