Flying Fox is a vast, remote rural locality in the Roper Gulf region of the Northern Territory, more than 400 kilometres from Darwin. It is characterised by semi-arid savanna and woodland of the Top End's interior, bordered by Nitmiluk National Park and the localities of Elsey, Limmen and Wilton.
