About Daly River

Daly River is a town on the Daly River in the Victoria Daly Region of the Northern Territory, about 222 km from Darwin. It is regarded as one of the best places to catch barramundi in Australia and is a popular recreational fishing destination. European settlement began in 1865, and the town later grew around copper mining and a Catholic mission, now the community of Nauiyu.
