About Braitling
Braitling is a residential suburb on the western side of Alice Springs in the Northern Territory, on the traditional Country of the Arrernte people. Named after Bill and Doreen Braitling who established Mount Doreen Station in 1932, the suburb features the Larapinta Drive shopping precinct and is home to the Alice Springs School of the Air. Doreen Braitling later became a prominent heritage preservation advocate, helping establish the National Trust of the Northern Territory. With a population of around 3,160, Braitling offers access to the MacDonnell Ranges and the Red Centre landscape.
