About Prestons
Prestons sits on the Cumberland Plain with scattered remnants of the critically endangered Cumberland Plain Woodland. Centred on the junction of the Hume Motorway and M7, it is a predominantly residential area lying between Liverpool to the north and the outer south-west growth corridor. The locality originated as a rural crossroads known from the 1820s before being gazetted as a suburb in 1972.
