About Oakhurst (NSW)
Oakhurst is a residential suburb in Greater Western Sydney about 46 km west of the CBD in the City of Blacktown, developed in the 1980s by Landcom on former rural poultry and vegetable farmland. Known as a family-oriented, multicultural community with predominantly detached housing, it includes the heritage-listed Blacktown Native Institution Site on Richmond Road. Mount Druitt Hospital about 3 km south and the Baitul Huda Mosque in adjacent Marsden Park are nearby landmarks.
