About Hebersham

Hebersham is a suburb of Sydney in the City of Blacktown, New South Wales, located approximately 47 kilometres west of the Sydney central business district as part of the Greater Western Sydney region. The name dates from 1829 when the Trustees of the Clergy and Schools Lands planned to establish a village named after Anglican Bishop Reginald Heber of Calcutta, whose diocese included New South Wales, though the planned village never eventuated.
