About Gooandra

Gooandra is a high-country locality of the Snowy Monaro area of New South Wales, centred on Mount Gooandra, a 1,530-metre peak north-east of Kiandra on the edge of Kosciuszko National Park. The district dates from the Kiandra gold rush of 1859, with workings at the Six Mile diggings and on Gooandra Creek, and later formed part of the Long Plain grazing run.
