About Combaning
Combaning is a locality in the Riverina of New South Wales, about 13 kilometres east of Temora. Its name is thought to derive from a Yuin word meaning 'to hold water'. The township grew around a railway station on the branch line towards Lake Cargelligo, which operated from 1893 until 1975, and its grain silos remain a local landmark.
