About Wyan

Wyan is a rural locality in the Richmond Tweed region of New South Wales, located about 532 kilometres from Sydney near Casino in the Richmond Valley local government area. The landscape of broad agricultural land on Bundjalung country in the Richmond Valley hinterland includes Wyan Creek and the Wyan Cemetery and former school site among its heritage features. The Wyan School and District World War One Roll of Honour was housed at Rappville Hall until it was destroyed in the October 2019 bushfires, and a Bennett's Sawmill site exists on Hicks Road reflecting the area's timber heritage.
