About Sawpit Creek
Sawpit Creek is a small rural locality in the Kyogle district of far north-eastern New South Wales, on the southern flank of the McPherson Range near the World Heritage-listed Border Ranges National Park. The forested locality sits at the edge of a sawmilling district, where a mill was built at the junction of Findon and Sawpit Creeks in 1916 to process hoop pine.
